Rockdale County Records Fallbacks
The sheriff's Records Request page says the Records Unit responds to Open Records Requests under Georgia's Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. 50-18-70. Rockdale County Booking Process
Rockdale County does not publish a complete booking policy in the inspected sheriff pages, but local service pages identify several intake facts. After arrest, the jail creates a booking record, processes property, issues jail clothing, and places the person into housing after screening or classification. Inmates receive shower shoes, a hygiene kit, and a jumpsuit. During custody, they may buy more hygiene items and exchange uniforms or shower shoes.

Rockdale Inmate Mail and Funds
Rockdale County changed personal inmate mail handling on February 10, 2025. Personal mail sent directly to the facility is not accepted. It goes to the JailATM scanning address and is then delivered through the inmate's communication account. Legal mail from an attorney of record is treated differently and remains accepted at the facility if clearly marked as private legal mail with the inmate name and cell location.

State Federal ICE Lookup
A Rockdale County inmate records search should move to another locator when the person has left the county jail system or was never held there. The research did not confirm an app-only inmate roster, warrant search, or booking-photo feature, so the app should be treated as an alert and resource channel rather than a replacement for the Tyler jail records portal.
VINELink fills a different role. It is useful when a victim, witness, or family member wants notice about release or transfer. It should not be used as the only Rockdale County jail roster. If the Tyler roster is blocked or the custody question is urgent, call Inmate Affairs or the relevant agency first, then use VINELink for notification where available.
